Watch: We Make Contact in Full ‘Project Kronos’ Sci-Fi Short Film
“We are actually watching Kronos dreaming about the journey it took and what it remembered.” Let’s make contact. Earlier this year we featured the trailer for an upcoming faux-documentary short called Project Kronos, that exploreed an attempt to achieve interstellar travel in a realistic way. The full short, running 14 minutes, has finally debuted and after watching it I have to feature it here. The biggest reason being the connection or hint this has to Christopher Nolan’s Interstellar, additionally because it has a Contact-esque feel to it that actually gets exciting to watch as it continues into the later half. It’s worth a quick view below.
Project Kronos, written and directed by Hasraf ‘HaZ’ Dulull (his Vimeo), is a “documentary” following a mission to achieve interstellar travel, starring Noeleen Comiskey, Victor Perez, Wesley Nike and Georgina Blackledge. As the mission unfolds with extraordinary results, the scientists find themselves dealing with a much bigger agenda. This was produced by Masked Frame Pictures, with technology sponsored by Adobe. It plays much better as a 14 minute short than just the trailer and I’d love to see where it continues from here. The story gets much more interesting as it goes on.
