Watch: All The Oscar Acceptance Speeches From Affleck to Adele
While some unfortunate folk got ushered offstage aggressively by the "Jaws" playoff music (the genius-or-uncalled-for debate continues), the night's biggest Academy Awards winners stole the show with their great speeches. We gave the nominees some pointers last week with our 10 Best Oscar Speeches picks and many of last night's now golden statue owners graced us with a mix of heartfelt, comedic, and adorable thank yous.
Ben Affleck's speech for Best Picture reprised the speedy antics of his 2000 speech with Matt Damon, as he fast-talked thanking "everyone in the movie, on the movie, did anything with this movie" followed by a moving thank you to his wife. Best Director winner Ang Lee thanked the "movie god" and left the audience with "namaste"; Jennifer Lawrence tripped, but played it off with confidence; and Daniel Day-Lewis got maybe the biggest laugh of the night playing along with the consistent "Lincoln" jokes. Which speech do you think stole the show?
Ben Affleck (Best Picture "Argo")
Michael Haneke (Best Foreign Film "Amour")
